One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish Graphing and Patterning

I love Dr. Seuss! Last year, I hosted a luncheon on behalf of this gentlemen. This year, we did a whole Dr. Seuss week!

On Day One, we did this graphing/pattern activities. Lexi loved it! She does patterns and graphing in school, so I knew this activity would be a great reinforcement  for her and it was!

She loves learning, which makes me so proud.

We started off by reading the book, of course!
Then. she had to sort the goldfish crackers by color.

All done with sorting! Silly girl!

Then she had to count how many goldfish there were in each color and record it on her tally data sheet.

perfect!

Then, she graphed them. She told me which one had the most and which one had the least. This was easy for her!

Afterwards, she could eat some of the goldfish. There happened to be an excess amount of yellow ones :)

Then, we used the same goldfish to do some patterns

She did all these patterns by herself. She loves patterns!
