Freezer Jam Time

Well, it has come to that time of year again, where strawberries are cheap! So, we went to the market, picked up a bunch, and made some freezer jam. Lexi helped me with each step and enjoyed it. She loves cooking and I love cooking with her. It is something fun we can do together. The jam is delicious and it was great to spend one on one time with Lexi. Where was Christine you might be wondering? She was napping. I don't think she is ready to make jam quite yet! Anyways, make some jam, it is fun and delcious!
She loved taking off the green stems

so proud

mashing the strawberries was also pretty cool

final product: yum!

Zoo Day!

My girls love animals, A LOT! So needless to say, we try to see animals as much as we can. The Zoo is one of the best places for my girls. They love it! One day, the girls and I went to the Phoenix Zoo and had a blast. It is a pretty fun zoo and we had a good day there!

The Komodo Dragon was the highlight for Lexi this trip

Christine's Glasses

Christine just being cute wearing her glasses. That is cute cousin Rhett in the background!

P is for Popcorn

A while ago, the girls and I did a fun craft/snack for the letter P. We made popcorn trees and popcorn balls. They each had so much fun! Lexi loved, LOVED making and eating the popcorn balls. And of course, we sang the primary song, popcorn popping as we ate. I don't even know if that is the real title or not, but Lexi calls it that we go with it. The song goes as follows:
I looked out the window and what did I see
Popcorn popping on the apricot tree
Spring has brought me such a nice surprise
Popcorn popping right before my eyes
I can take an armful and make a treat
A popcorn ball that would smell so sweet
It wasn't really so
but it seemed to me
popcorn popping on the apricot tree!
Anways, it was fun to do this in the spring time.
