Dr. Seuss Party to End the Week!

Besides doing the oobleck and fish graphing, we read Dr. Seuss books everyday, did some rhyming activities, that I did not take pictures of, and looked at pictures of the real Dr. Seuss.

Then, to end the week, we invited Lexi's cousins over for a Dr. Seuss themed party/playdate on Read Across America Day. We had a blast!

The decor! 

On the wall, are copies from the books that was our food inspiration. On the menu was the following:

Fritz Food (cheeto puffs)

Ape Cakes (green grapes)

green eggs and ham (egg whites were a piece of provolone cheese and edamame was the green yolk center)

pink ink (raspberry lemonade for adults and kool aid for kids)

Then, I made ham and cheese sliders, there was a salad brought for the mommies

For dessert: vanilla buttermilk cupcakes with the best frosting ever! 

I made a foot book path that lead to the cat in the hat room (aka: Lexi's room). We practiced right and left foot on this path, so fun!

Then, we made cat hats (which I made the whole too small so they kept falling off the kids) The kids then colored a picture of the cat in the hat hat

We did a balance activity. They had to walk around the room trying to keep the book on their head. 

Then, the kids made these cute cupcake toppers using an oreo, vanilla frosting, and red lifesaver gummies. So cute!
