Easter Sunday

On Easter morning, before 8:30 church, the kids saw what the Easter bunny had brought them:

Christine's Basket

Lexi's basket

They each got a new pair of sandals, a chocolate bunny, and peeps. The bags next to the baskets are presents from Grandma and Grandpa Farrelly (they were in Cali for Easter) The girls loved everything!

Then, we went to church and Lexi got to sing with all of the primary kids in our ward during sacrament meeting. She did great! She only started early once, so she got some solo time! She loved doing this. She also gave a talk about the true meaning of Easter in sharing time. She also did a great job! I love that Lexi is not shy and that she likes to sing and give talks in church, hopefully it will last!

For dinner on Easter Sunday, I made the feast and Shane and Shawn joined us since they were the only ones in my family who did not go to San Diego for Easter. We had ham, roasted baby red potatoes, deviled eggs, green bean bundles wrapped in bacon, homemade rolls, and a yummy dirt cake for dessert. Oh, Shane brought drinks which were root beer and chocolate milk. Shawn also helped pay for the ham, which was so nice of him!

Lexi adores her uncles!

And, we cannot forget pictures of everyone in their new Easter dresses!

Also taken before church

These are the after church pics outside. Lexi picked her dress out herself again this year. There is definately no telling this girl which dress to buy, she has to choose it herself. She has good taste though.

This was the best of the girls together, by this point, Lex was being so silly and Christine was ready for a nap, so I will take what I can get

I love these cute girls so so so sooooooooooo much!

Daddy loves his girls too

This was taken after dinner, when I realized Chris and I should have a shot together.

I hope everyone had a great Easter, because I know we did!

Easter Egg Hunt Celebration

On Saturday, my awesome Sister in Law, Sarah, hosted an Easter egg hunt and dinner for  the Glidewell clan and her family so that Sunday, we could just chill with our own individual families. We had such a good time. Lexi loved the Easter egg hunt, Christine, on the other hand, did not care for it too much. She would rather play at the playground.

And, Sarah decorated so cute, wish I took detailed pictures of her cute ideas, dang, oh well.

Then, the food was great! Everyone brought something different and as usual I ate way too much. But it was good and worth every calorie.

It was fun! Thanks Sarah for hosting!

The kids anxiously awaiting the hunt

Lexi's basket=full, Christine's=not so full :)

Cute cousins

Celebrating Lincoln and Mommy

On Saturday, I went out to a fantastic little cafe and bakery with Kara and some of her sisters and friends. The occasion: celebrating her second bundle of joy who is suppose to be arriving soon. Kara did not want a traditional baby shower, so we just all got together for lunch, good conversation, and laughs. It was fun to just get away and hang out with some buddies of mine. We love you Kara and hope all goes well with Lincoln's arrival!

Good Friday Adventures

Chris had Good Friday off of work this year, so we decided to embrace the time together and take a day trip. We went up to Montezuma's Well and Castle. The kids really liked it, so did we, and it was something fun and different to do. It was only about 2 hours away from our house, so it was the perfect little getaway for the day. I love spending time with my family!

I wish I could have taken more pictures, but our battery died, so  I am grateful I got these two to document our fun day!

Decorating Easter Eggs

Lexi's cousin Adee and her Aunt Autumn came over one day and dyed eggs for Easter with us! The kids loved watching the eggs turn colors. Then, we had a special Easter egg lunch. I filled plastic eggs with various food items such as baby carrots, bite sized sandwiches, bunny grahams, etc. The kids loved this! It was so fun to have a cousin playdate!

The lunch!

After lunch, the girls just started twirling and dancing around. It was pretty cute!

Coffee Filter Butterflies

After reading, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, we decided to make coffee filter butterflies! Lexi and Christine had so much fun! Christine liked to use the water colors just as much as Lex. We had a good time!
