Easter Sunday: Morning

Today has been a busy, but wonderful day. We woke up, showered, got ready, and then Lexi found what the Easter Bunny had left her in her basket. She didn't really care about the basket, but she looked inside anyways, and discovered that the Easter eggs filled with candy made a fun sound when you shake it, so she had fun shaking the Easter eggs. We mostly took video of this part of the morning, but above is a picture of what her basket looked like.

Then, we went to the Adam's house, they are in our ward. He is the first counselor in our ward's bishopric. They are super cool! They invited us over for breakfast and then an Easter Egg Hunt. They don't have any grandkids yet, so they invited a lot of young families in the ward so that they could enjoy our kids. it was a blast. We had the most delicious omelettes EVER and some good waffles with strawberries and whip cream too! It was delicious! Then, they hid tons of eggs in their front and back yard. They even had some golden eggs and a silver egg which contained some money! So, not only could the kids participate in the hunt, the adults were allowed too! So, our plan was that I was going to help Lexi get eggs and Chris was to go out and find some good eggs. We did not find the gold or silver eggs, but Chris found an egg with movie tickets in it, so it was good. Lexi did not like the hunt as much as i thought she would. She mostly wanted to run around rather than gather eggs. But, she did leave with a bucket full of eggs. So, it turned out alright.

Then, another family in our ward, the Governs, invited us over to watch conference and have lunch. It was great. They have a daughter named Bella who is pretty much Lexi's age, so they played while we watched conference. We had some chips and salsa and chicken salad. Then, they served us ice cream for dessert. Needless to say, we are stuffed and we are hosting dinner tonight so we need to get a second wind fast!

So far, that has been our Easter Sunday. our ward family is taking such good care of us, since we are family-less. I am glad to have such good friends who celebrate holidays with us. I will post about our dinner after it is over. Again, Happy Easter everyone, hope your day is going well.
