Utah Summer Trip

In July, we had the privilege of going to Utah to visit my Grandma Priest. It was a blast! We were there over pioneer day, so we went to a local parade in the honor of pioneers and played some old-fashioned games. Then, we just had fun visiting with my grandma, playing in her backyard and with her dog and bowling in a nearby town. Really relaxing and fun trip this was. My Grandma is also moving to AZ very soon, so I am glad we were able to visit her Utah home one last time before she returns to the desert. Thanks for the good memories, Grandma.

On the way, we stopped for lunch at one of our favorite sandwich shops in Kanab called, The Three Bears.

Waiting for the parade to start

parade time!

pioneer children sang as they walked and walked...

some floats passed out otter pops which made this girl very happy

the fire truck got everybody all wet, Lexi and Christine did not love it so much but Rhett had a blast!

waving goodbye to the last float

They got soaked!

And, of course, the missionaries had to have their own float!

The first game Lexi played was a find game. She had 30 seconds to dig and find as many toys as she could. Fun idea!

Second game was knocking the cans down with a ball. Lexi was amazingly good at this.

Then, after the games, they played at the park.

After her bath one morning, her Aunt Maralyn braided her hair. So cute!

we tried to get Christine to play, but she wanted no part of it

Lexi loved playing with her animals outside. She lives outside when we visit Utah

There is their great grandma pushing them on the swing

On the way home, I look back from the front passenger seat and I saw that everyone was asleep. I also saw that both my girls had covered themselves with their blanket. It made me laugh. This is Christine...
and this is Lexi.
