Christine's 2nd Birthday Part 1

Christine's 2nd birthday was a lot of fun! I chose to go with a fish theme since Christine loves to swim and make fish faces all the time. I found it suited her!

Since her birthday was on a Monday and most of the fam was at work, we broke the party into two parts. The first part was a fish themed playgroup/birthday party with the cousins. Brady and Kingsten were not able to come, so it was Adee and Rhett that helped us celebrate during the day. Maralyn let us have it at her house, which was awesome! The kids started off by magnetic fishing. They LOVED this! Really fun! Then, we had a snack, and we ended by swimming in the pool. Lots of fun!

During the evening, both sides of the family came and I will explain more about that in Birthday part 2! Stay tuned!

Great Catch Babe!

Even though she held the fishing pole like this she was really good at catching the fish!

Rhett might be too young to fish, but he sure liked to suck on the stick (pole)

Fishin' Cousins

The snack was "blue ocean water" (aka: gatorade), fishing poles (pretzel rods), bait (peanut butter), and fish (different flavored goldfish snacks). The idea was for them to dip the pretzel in the peanut butter and catch fish with it, but they really didn't like that, so they ended up just eating each part seperate. The gatorade and chocolate goldfish were the biggest hits.

Even though Aaron and Maralyn have a great big pool, my girls prefer to swim in the jacuzzi part.

After the party, we had lunch with my mom at her house. The girls had a sandwich cut into a fish shape, juice, and applesauce. As you can tell by the smile on her face, she liked it!
